Agape Love

Agape involves feeling so much love for someone that you put them before yourself. The most famous teaching of Christ on this is from the Last Supper in John’s Gospel. Jesus gives his final commandment to his apostles to love one another.

Agape love is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love.It is the highest of the four types of love in the Bible.

In John 3:16, a verse that is often described as a summary of the Gospel message, agape is the word used for the love that moved God to send his only son for the world’s redemption.
